My Life

I'm starting out on a voyage,
With heart full and head held high,
To sail the ocean, whether calm or rough,
Out under heaven's blue sky.
The voyage will be long and weary, I know,
But I hope many bright stars will appear.
So I'll sail my ship through calm or strife
With scarce a thought of fear.
I'll stay not here in this quiet place,
Where small ripples blow gently by,
But out on the deep, on the stormy sea,
There, out there, will be I.

What Am I Thinking...

Today is the last day of the week! I would start celebrating and congratulating myself on making it through the week, but unfortunately I think this will be one of the most trying days! I still have TONS to do in the classroom, and I haven't been sleeping more than about 5 hours a night as I've been trying to get organized.

So why, OH WHY, did I ever think that it was even remotely a good idea to buy a ticket for Boston this weekend?!? (I'll answer that question when I'm sitting in Fenway Park watching the Red Sox!)

All of the stories from this first week of class (which may or may not include a child throwing up all over the new carpet, a few crying children, a parent calling me after school on the first day, and another parent yelling at me) will just have to wait! I know you can hardly stand the anticipation!
